Margaret Gimson
Margaret Gimson was born in Hong Kong and educated in England, with a year in France. In August 1939 she went to join her parents in Zanzibar, and on her father’s retirement, she went with her parents to South Africa, and worked for several years as a nurse. In 1943, she returned to England, married and brought up a family in Leicester, studied French at Leicester University, and then worked as a Home Teacher until she and her husband went to Spain.
